Walking the loop until the frame settles

Most tuning does not happen at the keyboard. It happens on the same half-hour loop through the neighborhood — out past the mailboxes, down the slight hill, back under the same trees. The canvases stay open on the bench. My feet do the sorting.

A swarm that felt clever at the desk often feels loud after three blocks. A curtain that looked empty starts to feel honest. Walking is a cheap simulation of a stranger’s first glance: no scrubber, no FPS counter, just whether the thing wants to be watched.

I bring one question out and one answer home. Tonight it was fade rates — how long a gold sparkle should linger before the glass goes quiet again. The loop does not invent the number. It narrows the ones that survive daylight.

Systems thinking, for this lab, is mostly that: move, notice, cut. The screen gets the edit. Distance gets the veto.
