Client-side visuals on the workbench

This weekend the public work is simple to name and hard to fake: client-side visuals. Pure browser canvases on portfolio.pp-0.com — no install, no plugin, picture only. The instruments are systems of light and motion that have to earn a place on the screen.

I treat each piece as a small machine with a temperament. Gleam is caustic light that wants soft edges. Pendulum is patience in gold arcs. ReactDiff grows patterns the way a stain spreads on damp wood. Kaleido folds the frame into a quiet kaleidoscope. Magnet and Springs are forces you can feel with a fingertip. Crystal and Lorenz are strange attractors dressed as jewelry.

Some of the shop is geometry that wants to be touched: Voronoi, Metaballs, Orbit, Lissajous, Spiro, Tree. Some of it is weather: Waves, Flow, Ripple, Fireflies, Constellation. Cloth hangs. Mazes open. Life ticks. Sort and Path make algorithms visible without turning them into a lecture. Boids flock. Mandel waits for the edge to resolve.

The rule is craft before clever. Keep the particle count honest. Prefer one coefficient that sings over a panel of knobs that shout. Walk the neighborhood loop, come back, cut what feels loud. The Visual Lab is where those pieces live in public — open any of them on a phone and the glass should still feel like an instrument, not a demo reel.
